Onboarding
Now, you’re part of The Freelance CFO fam - welcome! We’ll send over an official email with steps you need to complete, including setting up another meeting to get the onboarding process started.
Behind the Scenes Work
After the onboarding meeting, we’ll dive deep into your finances, discuss any clean up and set you up with our trusted bookkeeping systems. During the first 30-90 days, we’ll be asking lots of questions, making sure we understand you and your business, and collaboratively reviewing your new workflows.
Monthly Reports
Finally, you’re ready! Your bookkeeping system is in place. We’ll still be in touch with any questions that may pop up during our work. Every month, you’ll get an email with a report from us outlining where you’re at and where you’re going, highlighting anything our team thinks should be brought to your attention, and celebrating your wins.

Yes, our Associate Bookkeeping package includes one year of tax returns per year, both business and personal. Our tax process is virtual and structured to be as streamlined as possible. We send you the list of what we need with a secure link to upload as you receive those items. Once everything has been uploaded you send an email letting us know and we will move forward. We will reach out with any questions and will move forward with processing your returns if we have everything we need.

No, this is a common misconception. While we do have team members in several different states, it’s more important to find a team to work with that understands you, your business, and your industry, than it is to find someone local to you. We work with clients all over the US and a few that live abroad.

We agree! And - we get it. Commitment can be a scary thing, especially if you’ve had some not-so-great experiences with bookkeepers or accountants. We want to make sure that our services, work style, and personality are a great fit for one another. During your initial 90 day onboarding process, either of us can decide to stop working together if we’re not the perfect fit (with no additional fees or hassle).
